The thing I found that helped against 99% of the spam emails was to enable aggressive Postscreen delays with top domain whitelists by using the postwhite script

I Caved and switched to Amazon SES to send my emails
That and using greylisting with the postwhite script has almost eliminated spam emails to my personal and public domains.
