Wayland & X11 on same install?
Whilst trying to separate X from wayland I did run both of them successfully on noir before everything was split up. I run an X only system now.

Wayland & X11 on same install?
What was the problem with the XOrg repo? You should be able to clone https://github.com/ehawkvu/kiss-xorg.git and put it before other repos in your KISS_PATH. To run both Wayland and XOrg, you'll need to modify some packages such as mesa to build all the drivers necessary, and you'll need to enable xwayland in your compositor.

I3 kiss linux problem installation HELP!
This repo is mostly outdated since KISS switched to Wayland. So you can either use Sway which is an i3 clone and in the official repos or, if you insist on using Xorg and i3, you can try adding https://github.com/ehawkvu/kiss-xorg. You will need at least xorg-server, xf86-input-libinput and something like xinit/sx/startx from there.

Crux vs. Kiss vs. Venom?
Do you use xorg ? Officially, only wayland is supported with Kiss. But there is an inofficial repo with xorg support. So only wayland, you must use wayland native softwares, xwayland is not available. But you can switch to the xorg repo.
