Stars - the number of stars that a project has on GitHub. Growth - month over month growth in stars.
Activity is a relative number indicating how actively a project is being developed. Recent commits have higher weight than older ones.
For example, an activity of 9.0 indicates that a project is amongst the top 10% of the most actively developed projects that we are tracking.

Calling a javascript function in a view in rails 7
I'm trying to integrate exolve, a javascript crossword player, into a rails app. exolve ships as a javascript file that has a global createExolve function, and is used by creating an HTML file with a script tag containing a call to createExolve, with the contents of the crossword passed as a string to the function.

Kickstarter for AVCX crossword expansion: including a weekly cryptic!
I've backed their kickstarter and have left them a comment plugging Exolve (https://github.com/viresh-ratnakar/exolve/blob/master/README.md) to them for setting up interactive online crosswords.

POTD: Cold Comfort
I've made a couple of variety cryptics before, but thought I'd share this little thematic one I made recently, inspired by an illness. Hopefully I've got the eXolve working correctly. All feedback welcome, good luck!

POTD: Teammates
Through a curious turn of events (the link has at least one spoiler), I ended up looking at the Exolve source code for this crossword, so I didn't really get to solve it. But I loved the theme and the ninas—very well constructed!

New weekly cryptic, edited by Dan Feyer
I'm surprised you haven't provided an on-site interactive version, especially as you could easily do that now at no/low cost using the superb open-source Exolve software – the creator of which is occasional visitor here, /u/wavefn. Note the FAQ at the bottom of the readme explicitly states that it's free for commercial use. The software includes a simple 'widget' function for embedding crosswords in any page, so I guess that would be useful for you. To see it in action check out any of our community crosswords (e.g. #12) and be sure to use one of the 'Reveal' buttons to see how we embed annotations with each clue. I think that's a great way for newcomers to learn how clues are constructed – which strikes me as particularly important for American publications given they don't usually have parsing/discussion sites like the British ones Fifteen Squared (all the free publications), Big Dave's (The Telegraph), and Times for the Times (The Times).
