  • Ideas to "demonstrate" zombie systems being controlled remotely
    1 project | /r/netsecstudents | 4 May 2021
Hello everyone, I am new to this community. I need to demonstrate some kind of attack or setup by means of which how a zombie system is controlled remotely (as part of botnet for example) is shown. Right now, I am done with writing a simple python script that tries to connect back to some system giving control to attacker and eventually when attacker commands, zombie will dos a flask server (not wsgi or gunicorn something). I know zombie botnets require large network but I guess i can continue with single one if it works. Can someone give me better ideas regarding this? Also I am kinda new to all these so help is appreciated. Thanks! Here is link to what I have made until now - https://github.com/rc4ne/zombie-system-demo Not the most efficient scripts but it works. And is it possible to use something like Mininet for this purpose? I dont want to use readymade softwares/tools. But if such are available please let me know.
