How can I describe it after so long of searching I finally found the way where I feel satisfied and like home. The positive feedback from the C64 community gives me tears in my eyes. Thank you.
Nice!! I had a similar history. Except I started out with the Vic 20... followed a similar path myself. Checked out the link. pretty cool. I've done a lot of reading about the Kungfu flash. Was going to buy in but i went a painsteakingly different route (For the adventure of course) I bought an eeprom burner and brushed up on programming. I was able to compile and burn my own kernel for my c64 and shut down some addressing and uypper memory above 38k to use for buffering on the 1501 serial port. I then burned to an atmel flashprom compiled onto the correct pin package by a guy who runs DIYCHRIS. Got a lotta punch into my c64 without the extra cartridge dangling out the back. If you went through the dos era as i, you might find this fun and handy if not revolutionary. its basically dos prompt in 38k for the c64 a terminal called CLICHI VERY NICE WORK. GIVE IT A TRY.. https://github.com/chironb/ChiCLI
