If you’re using twilightmenu/nds-bootstrap it’s a known issue, you could try the nightly build in the comments of that page to see if that’ll solve your issue.

I seem to have gotten my Black Version to save consistently by running it in DS mode. I've never had widescreen enabled, so I'm not sure if that has any effect. It was also saving consistently when I ran it in TWiLight Menu++. There are a few recently opened issues (like this one: https://github.com/DS-Homebrew/nds-bootstrap/issues/1567) on the nds-boostrap github page that say it is freezing while saving in DS mode and TwiLight Menu++ too, so your mileage may vary.

I was able to fix my issue of freezing whilst saving, I opened the per-game settings for the game on TWL++ then turned off "Card Read DMA". Got it from this page; hope this works for you too!

If its from something like Twilight Menu++ or Nds-bootstrap , idk if pokemon bank can read the save file, but if doesn't, you could use PKSM to transfer them to a 3DS Pokémon game and transfer from that to Pókemon bank

I'm wondering are there any other Custom Firmwares for the 3DS besides Luma3DS? The reason I'm wondering is because Luma3DS is a Firmware targeted primarily towards "noobs" and I'm looking for one that is for advanced users. I know that when it comes to boot loaders there are solutions for advanced users (Fastboot3DS) and was wondering if there's anything similar in terms of CFW.
