postgres-operator VS vault-secrets-operator

I found a couple of those Postgres operators, like the movetokube/postgres-operator but I honestly can't tell which of them are any good. Do you have any experience with them? I also would need something for MinIO, since I'm able to use Terraform to create databases, buckets and then spin up the app. It's a really comfortable process albeit I do prefer GitOps.

Not everything carries over from Terraform to GitOps but with that said check out this operator that lets you provision an existing postgres database.

That is my plan, too. I have the External Postgres Server Operator on my list of thing to try out. Does anyone have experience with it already?

For home use, I wouldn't bother with Vault unless that's really what you want to learn. Then it's worth looking into setting something up where you could use vault secrets, using one of the available options (I haven't seen the vault-secrets-operator being mentioned).

If you are using an external KMS in any case, then there are other options, such as the kubernetes-external-secrets operator that was originally started by GoDaddy and the externalsecret-operator from Container Solutions. If you use HashiCorp Vault, you also have the option of using the Vault Secrets operator. This works similarly to the Sealed Secrets Operator, but instead of managing its own key material, it retrieves the secrets from Vault.
