People that own and use a Model M13, do you use it alongside a mouse/trackball or instead of a mouse/trackball.
If you're on Windows, stuff like InterAccel can help with pointing stick performance (I'm not sure what the best Linux analogue is, but leetmouse might get you there?)

Rawaccel mouse accel
If you're looking for something more powerfull: the thing closest in functionality to RawAccel seems to be this CLI tool called Leetmouse or this GUI tool made as a frontend for a fork of Leetmouse. It seems to be in a very rough state right now though, I haven't tried it myself either, so I don't know if it'll even work properly.

Some more IBM Model M13 photos (ft. 1998 Maxi Switch & 2004 Unicomp)
For the black one (which has an IBM TrackPoint II stick), it's okay but the lack of negative inertia - the feature that makes TrackPoint III and current IV faster - is noticeable. The mouse buttons are on the gummy side. For the beige one (which has a Lexmark/Unicomp FSR stick), it's not great but Unicomp has at least improved the mouse buttons considerably. In both cases, InterAccel for Windows makes a huge difference. leetmouse seems to be the Linux equivalent but I haven't experimented with it yet.

Hello, Leetmouse help?
Hi I love using Rawaccel but I hate windows so here I am with leetmouse Skyl3r's fork (https://github.com/Skyl3r/leetmouse) to be specific since systemofapwne version just disables my mouse for some reason and I would rather use a GUI since I don't really understand the settings changing once I installed it.

leetmouse installation.
Doesn't make sense to not link to the project page (wild guess) btw.

Looking for more mouse acceleration customization
Only thing I found was this but it didn't end up working for me.

Raw Accel on Linux?
Which was forked by systemofapwne as leetmouse: https://github.com/systemofapwne/leetmouse
-
Would this work?
Unfortunately no, but this exists, and is inpsired by Povohats Mouse Accel, the same program Raw Accel was inspired by.

Can no longer apply kernel module after package updates
I've been using this mouse module to apply system wide acceleration for months now. I went to change some settings for this module the other day and realized it was no longer taking. The good news is that my previous settings still work, despite trying to uninstall the module. However this won't matter when I upgrade the kernel as I would have to apply the module again.
What are some alternatives?
