How are YOU using generics so far?
I've had to make some changes to our linter because of this. golangci-lint has disabled many of the linters, which helps until they're all updated. We've still had to force golangci-lint to use the correct Go version.

I've got a Set in https://github.com/thejerf/cm if your interested. The one they're looking at for the standard library will be much fancier, but this one I'm using now. I dodge the whole "no custom iterator" by also basing it on a map.
