  • I have a Trezor Model T, and I can create a hidden wallet for other coins (I have to additionally enter a different password to access this wallet). Is this possible with the Monero Client?
That being said, passphrase functionality works different in Monero GUI in comparison to Trezor Suite (Monero GUI doesn't allow plausible deniability, see: https://github.com/monero-project/monero-gui/issues/2186). Since Monero GUI works with wallet files and Trezor Suite don't, in Monero GUI you must have a wallet file previously created for each passphrase in order to access your multiple "hidden" wallets, while on Trezor Suite you don't have to create any wallet file, you can just type a different passphrase every time you open the software and it will open a different wallet for each passphrase you type. If you need plausible deniability with passphrases in Monero GUI, you will have to create your wallet file, access your wallet and then delete your wallet file every time you want need it.

Currently there is a bug under investigation: sometimes the QR code is not read when it is on a window behind Monero GUI (https://github.com/monero-project/monero-gui/issues/3639). So I would recommend opening the QR code window on the right or left side of Monero GUI window.

I have a shell script to automatically verify Monero's official releases. It's written (poorly) in Bash, so it only works on Linux (tested working on Ubuntu.) Might work on WSL Ubuntu (Windows Subsystem for Linux) as well. My script is here but you don't need it if you aren't lazy you can and should verify the binary releases yourself to be sure.
