minecraft-world-downloader VS mcaselector

I downloaded a few chunks from server and chunks don`t generate. I downloaded chunks through program world downloader(i left a link).Maybe someone knows why chunks don't generate anymore.I disabled the option "Prevent chunk generation".

So to my problem, i had a server host (something.host), which went down. But the Server was still running. I have no access to neither the files nor SFTP. The only thing i could do to save the world for a backup was a mod (https://github.com/mircokroon/minecraft-world-downloader) Modversion 1.16.5 Minecraft Version 1.19.2. While i could save a crazy amount of builds and chunks, with the help of a friend, in that exact time, the whole server went down, and the only thing appearing were "pinning". Ok now i have 2 different world files, with different chunk states and some additional hundreds of .bin files that contained chunkinformations of builds. I have no idea how i can merge everything together and running it normally seems to work, but not on a server, while its running, it seems that its overloaded. Merging the files directly didn't work.

Performance. It should, in particular, decrease depending on how fast you are moving. If you want to take an epic screenshots, there are mods to cache chunks. This one comes to mind, but I feel like there's a few billions of those just waiting to be found.

Hi i'm trying to migrate my hypixel SMP to one that I self host but am unable to download the world from hypixel. I tried to use THIS world downloader to download my current builds but is there a way to have downloaded chunks placed into the seed and have the rest of the world still generate properly without it just being void?

Try using this program to join the server: https://github.com/mircokroon/minecraft-world-downloader It works as a proxy between you and the server to download everything you load into a copy of the world. Just be aware that most inventories like chests aren't saved unless you open them.

Or just use a tool like minecraft world downloader which requires no mods at all.

I'm going to guess there's no backup but it might still be possible to salvage. Based on the error, at least two chunks have malformed data that can't be decompressed. The first thing to try would be to attempt to open the world with MCA Selector. If it can identify and cope with the bad chunks, you can delete them and get back into the world.

Correct, that's the only thing left from that world. If you can load the region folder in MCASelector you'll get a top-down view of what's there.

If it is caused by your explorers going out 20,000 blocks you could try using a tool like MCASelector to trim the world back down to a manageable size.

Use MCAselector to prune the chunks you want to delete then load the world in 1.20 when it’s released and those chunks will regenerate.
