Switched to Emacs a week ago, really thrilled so far. Looking for help on a few (somewhat advanced) questions.
I used three git branches. The main branch holds configs for linux and macOS (it is easy to expect they should work the same almost everywhere). And there is a linux/mobile branch where I used emacs on smart phone ssh into a remote server. And one branch for wsl. I don't use emacs on native windows so I can't tell how much difference there would be. I made my configs mainly on my main branch and the other two branches merge from the main branch time to time. This is my config for reference:https://github.com/milanglacier/dotemacs

there are some packages to help with the keybings, which-key shows a list of keybind and its command and (guru-mode)[https://github.com/bbatsov/guru-mode] enforces to use the "best" keybind, for exemple, it forces you to use C-n to move the cursor, blocking you to use the down key, and if you press the down key, it show a text in minibuffer to the best keybind.

Train to move in emacs Faster? Vim Hardmode alternative?
Wasamasa's jammer coupled with guru-mode should be a better alternative to vim's hardmode and such
What are some alternatives?
When comparing dotemacs and guru-mode you can also consider the following projects:
jammer - Punish yourself for using Emacs inefficiently
Cryptomator - Multi-platform transparent client-side encryption of your files in the cloud
scimax - An emacs starterkit for scientists and engineers
emacs-which-key - Emacs package that displays available keybindings in popup
