Internet of Desks: How I Connected My Standing Desk to the Internet
If you’ve got an IKEA Bekant and are interested in this sort of thing then Megadesk[1] and Megadesk Companion[2] will allow it to connect to Home Assistant for automation (and also adds memory states).

Megadesk Companion - Open source hardware for easy esphome integration with your standing desk
Megadesk Companion is an accessory for Megadesk - both are open source hardware.

Anyone did custom controller for Ikea Rodulf?
Hello, I saw that project for IKEA Bekant https://github.com/gcormier/megadesk, and as Rodulf seems very similar I wonder if somebody builded custom controller for it, or at least build custom remote. The goal is to build it in desk, next to the usb hub with some nicer buttons, so this is a great opportunity to add predefined profiles if possible

Anyone using an app to train / motivate them to use your standing desk?
I know some people are using the esphome integration with megadesk ( https://github.com/gcormier/megadesk ) with this in mind but not sure how many are doing it. If you are talking about an app I don't think there's anything in that space. Just simple nodered/etc automations or reminders.

KiBot release - now supports KiCad v6!
So for megadesk now, when i tag a release, KiBot does many things, but one of which is makes a PDF of the schematic, so if anyone wants they could take a quick look without even having KiCad installed. https://github.com/gcormier/megadesk/releases/tag/pcb-v8-C668117
- Control the standing desk with Alexa, Google or Siri is it possible?
- Starting to use git with kicad projects, do you commit gerbers & boms?

Thoughts on getting a used Bekant Sit / Stand Desk for $220?
Biased opinion as the creator of megadesk ( https://github.com/gcormier/megadesk )

Difference between IDÅSEN and UPPSPEL
I've read it's either the power supply dies, or the motors stop responding. We found that you can re-initialize the motors (which was undocumented I think? Or maybe not well known) https://github.com/gcormier/megadesk/issues/24

Monoprice desk controls reverse engineering
You can find some discussion on actually adding it in this request : https://github.com/gcormier/megadesk/issues/11 (short, there is no space to do so)

Kicad Vault - A Component Management System
Not exactly the same you suggested, but many of those points are already covered by KiBot. You might want to take a look at it: Kibot

KiCad Project Makefile
One of the features that peaked my interest with the release of 7.0 was kicad-cli. I've wanted a built in tool for CI/CD for a while. I know there is Kibot but to be honest, I found the base configuration a little overwhelming and also struggled to get it running locally on a macOS setup - without tainting system Python.

KiCad Version 7.0.0 Released
KiBot [0] is super handy for this, the documentation has an explicit section on CI/CD usage.
It's a bit clunky (not KiBots fault at all, it has to basically script drive the GUI to achieve some functionality which has now been added to the kicad cli) so hopefully going forward CI/CD with KiCad will be even easier!

The tooling ecosystem that adds joy to KiCad
I'm using KiBot for this, see pcb_replace/sch_replace options here: https://github.com/INTI-CMNB/KiBot#supported-preflight-optio...
- KiBot release - now supports KiCad v6!
- Fritzing is an open-source electronic design too

KiCad 6.0.0
I've been bitten by the DRC before, but KiBot[0] renders that moot. I have it running as a pre-commit hook, and it generates my Gerbers and everything. That way, all this stuff is automated and I can't make a mistake.
