What are some examples for cpp project rewritten in rust?
And because of the nice FFI support in Rust, you can often do such a rewrite iteratively. I've done this professionally and also in https://github.com/medwards/circlemud for a practical example of replacing an old c game communication code /w Rust, leaving all the game logic alone).

What's everyone working on this week (11/2021)?
I'm working towards a version release of a personal project called monk. It combines monolith, tantivy, and youtube-dl to store and search (even the youtube videos) articles offline. It was originally a small project to store articles to read on a plane.
What are some alternatives?
When comparing CircleMUD and monk you can also consider the following projects:
somo - Socket Monitor for Linux: A prettier and simpler alternative to netstat or ss for socket monitoring with the ability to scan for malicious IP addresses.
python-compiler - A compiler for a subset of Python using LLVM
quatweb - quat website v2! (under construction gif)
