Then you'll love this project. The Holographic demo supports the Looking Glass display and I'm pretty sure natively supports the Kinect Azure but also works with a webcam.

That's awesome OP! Thanks for sharing! I'm also a huge fan of the movies. The matrix rain effect was a little off for me. I really recommend take a look at https://github.com/Rezmason/matrix. This is the best public matrix rain effect. Was also recognized by the Matrix directors as a good one. So you can mimic the effect and get the glyphs in the repository.

I currently have it running on a Raspberry Pi in the closet: it's connected to my wife's Google Photos account as well as my own, with about 500k photos+videos in total. All other computers in the house connect to it (using this tool), so we have randomized screensavers from our Google Photos accounts in multiple rooms. It's definitely become a "how did we ever live without this?" tool for the family.
