makemd VS obsidian-url-into-selection

I just tried to upload some plugins, but they don't want to work for some unknown reason. Especially, knowing like one plugin is definitely working, it just doesn't want to be installed. Thus, I'm asking question how to do it other way than obsidian plugin adder. I also tried to turn of/delete other plugins, but it didn't help, thus I don't know what to do. Maybe check out the https://www.make.md/ plugin. Gives a notion like note organizer and formatting tools

I've also added Make.md (see Danny's video on it) today, as I saw it recommended here recently. Among other things, it lets you setup your directories/folders in any order you want and add emojis to them.

Make.md adds a lot of text formatting helpers via the slash command similar to notion that might be useful. But its killer feature imo is the table builder. Works very similar to notion and really helped me start using tables in obsidian

OP, try the addon https://www.make.md/ you can find it in the community plugins in the app, and it helps change things to be more similar to Notion -- including a formatting toolbar.

A bit more roundabout than what you requested, but Paste URL into Selection is one of my most used plugins!

I really like make.md for its powerful and simplified design. Advanced Tables and Excel to markdown table are great if you are working with tables a lot and also "smaller" plugins like paste url into selection and tag wragler really can make your life easier.

It seems I may have managed to accidentally delete it😕 sorry. I made it as a first project for testing obsidian development, and the folder in which I had the project was amazingly enough in my gitignore. Anyhow, the way that I made it was by modifying https://github.com/denolehov/obsidian-url-into-selection and simply change the string that is inserted to match cloze deletion instead of the URL (in the main.ts file). Should be relatively easy to set up again if you are familiar with programming, otherwise it might be a bit of a challenge to set it up

Personally, since links in Markdown format can be a bit cumbersome to write, I also recommend installing the Paste URL into selection plugin—it lets you create links in your notes (and Kanban boards) by selecting the piece of text you want to turn into a link then just pressing Ctrl + V (with the URL or path to a local file already copied in your clipboard, of course).
