do and dont advice for a freshman biochem major (premed)
Use madgrades.com and ratemyprofessor to determine overall course difficulty. Choose major requirements and electives based off that, rather than word-of-mouth by a few people, who likely have different skill sets and interests than you.

Is it easy to maintain a good GPA at UW? Is there grade deflation/inflation?
MadGrades shows grade distributions for classes, note that certain majors have much harder classes with lower gpas whereas others will rarely encounter classes with harsh grading. Check the classes your major requires.

Econ 102 Grade...How doomed am I?
AFAIK a lot of classes in the econ dept are curved, and many of them are curved heavily by percentile class performance. you can tell by the fact that letter grade distributions for econ courses (see madgrades.com) are pretty constant, with the top ~15-20% of students getting As, the next 15-20% getting ABs, and so on. if your syllabus doesn't mention anything about this, email your TA and professor about your standing in the class. I can say from experience that doing well in an econ class is all about practice. do lots of practice problems, go to office hours and get every step of the math explained to you.

Is there a way to check if a specific professor is teaching next sem?
The Spring 2023 course schedule is available in Course Search & Enroll now, but depending on the department, some courses don't have instructors assigned yet. You can also check Madgrades to see if there are patterns on who teaches which semester if that helps. If you're looking at a specific course or professor, you may be able to ask the advisor(s) of that department.

Took about 6 months, but I flippin’ did it!!!!
Learn JavaScript Basics at https://codedamn.com/learn/javascript-basics seems to cover more than enough of the basics for someone to dip their toes and be able to keep the momentum going. Funny enough, I am doing it this very moment and it starts simple and gets more advanced as you go though it. The teaching approach is like learning a programming language for the first time, but given that the syntax is different, that can bes useful. An additional source would be https://github.com/Asabeneh/30-Days-Of-JavaScript which I will start doing later this week. Having the knowledge acquired from the aforementioned course as well as CS50 itself, the 30 Day JS would serve as an additional set of exercises to test and apply one's knowledge while learning a few more tricks during the process.
