I've also tried this more elaborate project on a different device but it supports both WT32-SC01 plus and non plus (and there's pre-made firmware you can flash through the browser to give it a try without any code compiling whatsoever): https://github.com/sukesh-ak/ESP32-TUX

I applied the ESP32-TUX demo on ESP32-S3 TFT Touch, Using ESP-IDF/ LVGL/ LovyanGFX, both support the 3.5-inch SPI TFT and the parallel TFT, it looks really nice~
