You can also try and combine it with live-dl to automate both recording the livestream and chat at the same time. If you don’t have a VPN, I’d recommend setting the interval to 30-60 seconds to prevent getting rate limited by YouTube.

MTV-YTDLP - Simple script using YT-DLP do download an episode from MTV.com, and then merge the resulting multiple output MP4 files using ffmpeg.
