[Cinnamon only] [Nemo actions release] Ever wanted to create WebPs on the fly for lighter web images right from your file manager?
You can download the Nemo file manager right-click actions from https://github.com/SonephetR2/linux-mint-nemo-webp-converter-actions. Everything is explained there except the "why" I guess, so here goes: though the WebP format is proprietary (developed by Alphabet/Google) and low-resilience (lose a few bytes and your image is dead), it's extremely light. You can easily shave off an extra 50% file size off a standard optimized PNG image without any incurring any significant loss of quality.

Cinnamon
From this github repo I used the opacify windows script. It's pretty simple and the documentation is pretty good.
