There's also Limbo for Android, a QEMU based emulator that can emulate x86 computers. You should be able to mount a bootable Windows 98 ISO into it and install from there, ISOs can be downloaded from winworldpc.com

Sorry, but Adobe Director was discontinued back in 2017 and it never had projectors for Android or iOS; there's no real way to convert this to run on a phone. You might have luck running it while emulating Windows XP with Limbo, but that's not something I can help with

Hey, me and my girlfriend recently got into playing VN's together (we are currently playing Stines Gate Elite, taking turns doing the English voice acting with funny voices) on our TV, and I was wondering, is there a way to play the English patch with the original game on the switch? I know that we can play it on android, so playing it on the switch doesn't seem that absurd of an idea. I found this github project [https://github.com/BASLQC/vnds/wiki] that mentioned it being ported to the Nintendo Switch, can anyone confirm if this really does work, or if there is some other method I can use? I am a programmer, so I am used to navigating code and github projects, just wanted to know if a solution for this question already exists, before I try solving something that may have already been solved

Not even close. There are 50 (https://github.com/BASLQC/vnds/wiki/List-of-VNDS-Visual-Novels) games that can be played on DS through VNDS. If you feel like taking the time to converting android-resolution VNDS novels to DS resolution (not too difficult), you can also play all 60 of them on DS.

At this moment, it doesnt' look like those novels have been ported to the VNDS format. There is a WIP port of Clannad that was made, according to https://github.com/BASLQC/vnds/wiki. That site is the most up to date on VNDS novels themselves. VNDS-LOVE is just an engine to run those novels.
