How to append text to Obsidian Ledger through shortcut?
It's that time of the year when I see if I could replace my existing Notion-setup completely with Obsidian. Am currently tackling expense tracking, and Obsidian has a plugin just for this: Obsidian Ledger. Now, problem is that adding entries to the ledger while on the go is tedious, as the quick entry does not work properly on the mobile. So I would like to build a shortcut to handle this. And I have one built, where it asks for the expense name, amount, expense account and asset account. It takes each of those entires, adds current date, and then it should append all of that to the end of the transactions.ledger-file in my Obsidian Vault. Sounds simple enough. But what would be the best way to to that last step?

Ledger's NPM account has been hacked
I thought this was about https://github.com/ledger/ledger and was so confused why they'd be on NPM.
Pretty shitty of them to pick the name LedgerHQ after Ledger has already been used for years.

An open-source alternative to QuickBooks
as far as the ledger-cli google groups [1] go, they seem to think it is a proper journal file. It has been fairly tested with OFX imports (https://github.com/ledger/ledger/wiki/OFX-Import) as well bank autosync (https://github.com/egh/ledger-autosync).
In fact, someone also wrote a book on this - https://leanpub.com/personal-accounting-in-ledger/
I will defer if you are indeed building your own competing tool in this space which is better, but holding to the original point of my request - maybe it will be incremental to support your format if ledger-cli format is supported today. versus not supporting any disk format (or inventing a new one).
