DO I NEED TO STUDY IT FIRST BEFORE LEARNING AWS?
This should get you on your way imo: https://github.com/learntocloud/learn-to-cloud/blob/main/phase1/README.md

Open Up The Cloud Newsletter #28 (October Recap 2021)
Learn To Cloud Guide – From what I’ve seen, the good folks behind the learn to cloud guide (Gwyneth, Rishab & Antonio) are putting in some big efforts to really ✨ jazz up ✨ the project, it’s now hosted on it’s own website at learntocloud.guide and I hear they have some pretty serious plans to build the project up. Watch this space and give these guys a follow to keep up with what they have planned!
- I waited too long to make my next move and now I really need out of support.

Open Up The Cloud Newsletter #25 (June Recap 2021)
Self Taught Guide To Cloud Computing – This month, Gwyneth (GPS) put together an awesome guide for self-teaching yourself cloud computing (here’s the announcement Tweet / thread). Guidance like this for cloud career starters is sorely needed, so the project comes as a nice addition to the growing resources you can find online. I can already tell that I’m going to be sharing this link a lot! And, if you’re not already subscribed, GPS has a cloud YouTube channel which you should also check out!

BigQuery prices increasing by more than 100% for many users
It’s not just BigQuery. Pricing for cloud services is increasing across every provider. Azure increased prices in the EU recently https://news.microsoft.com/europe/2023/01/05/consistent-glob...
For AWS, one of the people behind https://ec2instances.info showed that the price/performance ratio for newer instances is rising, https://github.com/patmyron/cloud/#compute--memory-unit-pric... meaning cloud users are paying more for less.

Choosing cloud regions for lower latency: A data-driven approach
Incredible writeup! Unfortunate ap-northeast-3's so prevalent since it's usually the smallest and least supported public AWS region due to being a ["local region" with only 1 public AZ for years](https://aws.amazon.com/blogs/aws/aws-asia-pacific-osaka-regi...):

---
ap-northeast-1, eu-west-1 seems like the best pair sticking to AWS regions that have most resource types available
-
Google Cloud (Europe-west2) is experiencing downtime
luckily not one of the largest regions:

We just announced two new regions - East US 3 in Atlanta and West US 3 in Arizona!
