Self-hosted captcha solution?
I wouldn't per se recommend selfhosting captchas, because then bots are suddenly your responsibility, and malicious actors will likely not find it hard to break your protections. If you really do want to though, there's LibreCaptcha

Coracle - Kotlin based Processing clone
Compared to OpenRndr this looks simpler to get started with. What is your plan for supporting JVM? If it can render to a BufferedImage, I would like to use it for creating CAPTCHA designs. (The rain drop example reminded me of the rain drop CATPCHA in this project )

I want to integrate Captcha on some of the pages in my self hosted applications. Can you suggest a self hosted Captcha solution ? I don't want to use Google Recaptcha or route my pages thru Cloudflare.

I've always been interested in automating stuff. I had a lot of fun using OCRs to "cheat" on typing tests in school, I've had experience with making and preventing bots in MMOs, and have an interest in web development/security. RuneScape has a really interesting history on captcha solvers, and I ported something closely resembling it their original captcha here: https://github.com/2003scape/rsc-captcha
