Laravel VS Symfony

This is how Laravel and Slim does this.

It supports REST and GraphQL APIs out of the box, or you might use it to build a Full Stack application using the model view controller pattern, aka MVC), similar to frameworks like Laravel or ruby on rails, and it contains a ton of built-in modules to work with databases, handle security, implement streaming and anything else you can imagine doing in a server side application.

I will be using it with PHP and Laravel project.

I have used Laravel web framework for creating the app. I have also used Filament admin panel generator to quickly generate CRUD app functionality.

Funnily, only now, after managing the setup and staring to write this post did I realize that it is part of the Symfony project.

I know most devs want to see something like Rust on Rails which I'm totally okay with, but if I'm being honest my absolute favorite framework to use is Symfony (I can hear all of you Larvel devs typing your hate bellow, but just remember... Larvel is built using Symfony components).

Symfony is one of the definitive web application frameworks in the PHP ecosystem offering over 50 standalone PHP components and a MVC framework for your web application that you can use to build complex applications, website pages and even API services.

Another usecase are Framework based CMS System. Beside Drupal, Typo3 using example Symfony components, still are not Full Stack Symfony and don't use Symfony based folder structure and are so very different then using Symfony Full Stack based CMS. In this area other CMS like Sulu, Bolt, .. are placed which do not hide Symfony Full Stack and are more for the web applications which are not typical just a Website but has application based component in it which can be build with the Symfony components and ecosystem. This CMS are also mostly more version control friendly as most configurations are inside Code and not inside Database and the CMS admin concentrate on Content Management and configure the System itself. Another CMS which is more and more migrating Full Stack Symfony is Contao CMS, which definitly should not be forgotten.
