How to Deploy Apache Kafka® on Kubernetes If You're in a Time Crunch
Running Apache Kafka on Kubernetes is possible—even if you're short on time. What's more, it does not require you to become an expert first. Instead, you become an expert while running Kafka in production using Koperator. Koperator abstracts away some aspects of the Kafka deployment and also provides you with a convenient user interface through kubectl.Check out the GitHub repository and try it for yourself!

Kafka in Kubernetes
Strimzi is a pretty good way to setup and operate a kafka cluster in kubernetes. Another one is https://github.com/banzaicloud/kafka-operator . Kafka is a pretty complicated beast and if you want to run one in k8s, you should definitely use an operator instead of just installing it via helm.
