    I did try Sway, and even optimistically keep an altered version of my config updated to match my normal i3 config (and it doesn't work with my i3 config straight up - bindsym --to-code is what makes binds works in different layouts like how they work in i3 but that's invalid i3 config syntax, ontop of a ton of Sway specific behavior (even filed an issue once), and stuff that is handled by generic XOrg tools on i3, and so on...).
