Ask HN: Does your Windows Precision Touchpad work the same way?
You'll need to tick the "Other Human-Interface Devices" checkbox and untick Mouse and Keyboard, so that you don't get the driver-synthesized SendInput mouse reports flooding the outputs

TPMouse: control the cursor with the homerow, even if you don't have a ThinkPad
If that fails still, then I suspect that your RShift key in fact just sends a normal LShift scancode. In which case, would you mind verifying it by running https://github.com/EsportToys/RawInputViewer and tell me what the Make Code and VKey Code are when you press the respective L/R shifts?
