plugins VS simplenote-ios

I've been using Joplin, but just for notes. It does have a Tasks or To-Do list function, but I haven't used it. There are a bunch of plugins available for Joplin, including an Agenda Calendar, Calendar, Event Calendar, and Life Calendar. So anyway there are some options LOL.

Many things are handled as plugins. The official repo is here, and it's what's searched when you type in the relevant spot in the app settings.

don't know what makes things wiki-like, per se, but since /u/PrimeRaziel mentioned Obsidian, i figured i'd mention Joplin - https://github.com/laurent22/joplin - https://joplinapp.org/ - plus some plugins - https://github.com/joplin/plugins

Subfolders can be nested as much as you want. Look through the official plugins repo to see if anything strikes your fancy. Pretty sure things like templates and backlinks exist. You'll have to see what all is available and if it fits your needs.

Someday I will build my own clone of Simplenote/Notational Velocity/Taskpaper/Drafts/Bkmks.com...

5. I wish Simplenote's tagging system were better (more like TaskPaper)

- I wish it were simple to add (markdown) images like Github.

- Also Simplenote added some features that get in the way (I just want to type `[`, but Simple note opens this inter-note linking interface)

- Notational Velocity supported rich text, but I just wanted everything in plaintext, especially when pasting information into a note.

Note nvUltra, the successor to this program, has been in development/private beta for several years[1,2].

I've been meaning to make my own web-based version of Notational Velocity that adds a few novel features of my own. (Plus inspiration from apps like TaskPaper and Drafts)

I'm still happy with Apple Notes for its integration with all of Apple Apps, easy sharing with family members, etc. I have tamed it more as an ephemeral and quick Notes App. The notes that starts there are usually transferred to a more permanent and organized Plain-Text setup[1] (currently guardian-ed by Obsidian).

In the past I used the beautiful Zoho Notes. It's good but I experienced sync issues sometimes. OneNote is good but I hate the UI. StandardNotes is nice, but very expensive once you want the paid features. SimpleNote OK too, but too basic imo.

I've used Simplenote for years. Clutter free, distraction free, and actually free - it works in a browser and my phone so I can write on any device, anywhere, online or when I'm intentionally disconnected.

I think Simplenote could be what you’re looking for.
