I really hate the offical reddit app
There's also Lemmy and Kbin. Plus other similar social networks of this type
- 📣 I want to debunk Reddit's claims, and talk about their unwillingness to work with developers, moderators, and the larger community, as well as say thank you for all the support
-

here's a bit of a better explanation https://jointhefediverse.net/

Minimalism!
Do not delete stuff that you are actually using. Rather, refrain from creating new accounts if you can use something without a login as an alternative, or if you can use your current account for that particular stuff. Only create accounts to services that offer some other meaningful stuff that the others won't offer (like decentralized services such as Mastodon or other Fediverse platforms, or Matrix, or XMPP, whatever less mainstream service you might stumble upon). In order to manage all these accounts, try a password manager like Keepass. You can group all these services' credentials, add an expiry date for passwords, as well as type down any notes regarding your accounts. You can do the same with email addresses.

Ahead of IPO, Reddit blends advertising into user posts
Are there any advantages to using the official Reddit app instead of something like RedReader?
https://github.com/QuantumBadger/RedReader
- How do i auto bypass this, without also breaking other reddit windows/popups that reddit may show me, & interfaces. -Thanks.
- how can I delete images uploaded to "Imgur"?
- Is there a setting to have albums open on the first image?

Own top comments when sorting by year don't display
I've submitted it on GitHub
-
New here :) is it somehow possible to see the trending section?
Feel free to submit a feature request for it but it's very unlikely available in the API
-
How to set to open albums with all images displayed at once?
Nope. The developer previously mentioned not wanting to do that because it could be confusing to the user. Feel free to submit a feature request for it if you feel strongly enough.
- How do you see self-text in RedReader?
-
Show first lines of post in subreddit posts list/view?
Nope. There is a 3 year old request for a card view which might be able to show more post information like the first line. Feel free to give that a thumbs up.
