Speeding up Prettier locally using the new –cache CLI option
You can run it through jest:

Either way gets you parallelism from jest. Personally I like the approach of using jest for all the "match files and run actions" logic (tests, lint etc) and then eslint for all the kinds of linting and formatting.
We then configure VSCode to lint autofix on save and get a really nice experience.

Json doesn't have comments because the designer of the language didn't like them. So if you come from any other programming language, know that's why you might be having issues (like me!). Check your Json out here . Also Beam keeps a separate copy of your materials in a BeamNG Personal, under vehicles. So changing code doesn't always show up unless you clear your cache. That is also the folder where where any changes using the F11 editor saves to. Also, sometimes changing the name of one material in the DAE file, makes everything update. It is finicky at best, but F11 is a great way to actually visualize what each material is doing, use it.

Another is for those who are working on using JSON as a definition. JSONLint helps with verifying if your code is valid or not. This can help a lot.
