The number of mentions indicates the total number of mentions that we've tracked plus the number of user suggested alternatives.
Stars - the number of stars that a project has on GitHub. Growth - month over month growth in stars.
Activity is a relative number indicating how actively a project is being developed. Recent commits have higher weight than older ones.
For example, an activity of 9.0 indicates that a project is amongst the top 10% of the most actively developed projects that we are tracking.

Serverless Spy Vs. Spy Chapter 3: X-Ray vs Jaeger - Send Lambda traces with open telemetry
With the sample apps from the opentelemetry-lambda repository the Lambda part itself was easy to implement. What took me some time was to provide the jaeger Fargate service with IaC ouside of an k8s environment. But with ECS and ServiceDiscovery that was easy in the end. This should be even more simple in an EKS environment with the jaegertracing helm-charts.

If You Can’t Observe It 🔭, You Can’t Operate It
In this episode, we’ll integrate OpenTelemetry with our ASP.NET minimal API and trace everything from database calls to cache hits — all visualized in Jaeger. We’ll also learn how to spot inefficiencies, validate cache behavior, and instrument our code for insights.

API Monitoring for Mobile Apps: Key Metrics for Developers
Distributed tracing: This technology follows requests as they bounce between services, showing you exactly where things slow down or break. Tools like Jaeger and Zipkin support OpenTracing standards, and leveraging an OpenTelemetry plugin can make it possible to track requests across different service boundaries without losing the thread.

Bottleneck Identification Using Distributed Tracing
Getting Started: Use tools like Jaeger, Zipkin, or OpenTelemetry. Focus on critical paths, set smart sampling rules, and align trace data with system metrics.

Async APIs and Microservices: How API Gateways Bridge the Gap
Logging and Tracing: Use centralized logging and distributed tracing to gain visibility into the flow of requests across microservices. This helps you diagnose issues more effectively and understand the impact of changes. Tools like Jaeger or Zipkin can be integrated with your API gateway to provide detailed tracing information.

Matanuska ADR 014 - OpenTelemetry
This implies that there's a strong benefit to good visualizations for traces, something my Tracer class was struggling to provide. By using OpenTelemetry, we can leverage an open source platform, such as Jaeger, to view traces.
