DockerHub replacement stratagy and options
To be honest, this project aside, it's pretty cool and not to bad to get started with. On desktop, I would recommend the aptly named ipfs-desktop if you just want to try it out and get a good glance at all of the features. On android the ipfs-lite app is pretty straight forward though nowhere near the view into features the desktop app provides.

Drop in Cloudflare Replacement
IPFS does serve traffic directly, and faster than through Cloudflare; if you run a local node. It accomplishes this by pre-caching content related to the content you access. So it is a bit network heavy. But I've been using it for about a year and the speed just can't be beat.

Keanu laughing at the concept of NFTs
The problem with "buy the NFT to a song" is just that its inherently meaningless, it exists as a transaction of a few bytes on Ethereum on some random smart contract. Digital assets are nothing new, in Eve Online or World of Warcraft items like unique swords or colossal starships are traded for real money. But there is some tangibility to it that gives them that value, there is no such equivalent with NFTs. Its like trading invisible things that serve no other function than trading in and of itself. They don't exist outside of the belief that they do, (a belief structure in the shape of a pyramid I might add).

NFTs on xDai should be the Standard, Here is my experience.
Using Remix and ERC721 standard contract from 0xcert/ethereum-erc721 I was able to mint an NFT for very cheap. The tutorial I followed can be found here.
