Question regarding portmaster's use of a depricated ad-list
thanks for letting us know, you can always recommend new lists here: https://github.com/safing/intel-data/issues

NordVPN library and client code open-sourced
Thanks for providing additional information to readers. However, this is not entirely correct. Let me clarify:
- Community nodes are used to diversify server ownership and strengthen the privacy of connections.
- Community nodes may technically act as entry, middle and/or exit nodes.
- Community nodes will never be used for unencrypted connections, only for encrypted connections. We are thinking about a concept of trusted partners, which will also be allowed to handle unencrypted connections - but this is currently not the case.
- We publish advisories [0], which are automatically applied by all clients. This gives us the ability to quickly react to changing situations. Currently, community nodes _are_ being selected as exit nodes, but not as entry nodes.
I hope this cleared things up. I am happy to go into more detail.

Unable to connect to specific site on Windows 10 Computer.
since this seems to be a false positive (in terms of blocking) - would steamtrades.com be a fit for the unbreak list? That way even if a filter list blocks the domain, Portmaster does not block it by default but leaves it up to the user.
-
Custom filter list importing
no, not in a significant way. Portmaster already handles a few hundred thousand domains through the integrated filter lists. You can check the sources here - some of these files are massive - like Steven Black's adware + malware list containing 135k entries.

Question about today's new update
this repo is where we manage what filter lists are included in the Portmaster https://github.com/safing/intel-data

Legacy login troubles with Debiain Linux
Yeah I think they removed it with this commit about a month ago. I don't think they're going to bring it back.
- Nord VPN has been borderline broken on W11 the last few monts
-
Linux login
I think they removed the user/pass login with this commit two weeks ago:

NordVPN Linux app goes open source
This all sounds like a step forward for Nord apps and fingers crossed going open source will improve the overall quality of NordVPN service. Maybe someone in our community already checked the code [https://github.com/NordSecurity/nordvpn-linux])? Overall, what are your thoughts about this news? Do you find it useful or maybe you don’t care about it?
