Stars - the number of stars that a project has on GitHub. Growth - month over month growth in stars.
Activity is a relative number indicating how actively a project is being developed. Recent commits have higher weight than older ones.
For example, an activity of 9.0 indicates that a project is amongst the top 10% of the most actively developed projects that we are tracking.

Node.js: Replace your .env file with this awesome tool at scale
To ensure optimal performance, I’d recommend creating a single instance of the Infisical client and exporting it to be used across your entire app. The reason is because the Node SDK caches every secret and updates it periodically, reducing excessive calls; this built-in caching makes syncing environment variables seamless at scale.

- Phase: HashiCorp Vault and AWS Secrets Manager Alternative for Developers
- I'm building a platform to manage application secrets and environment variables with a friend of mine. We have a web dashboard and CLI, and everything is open source, self-hostable, and end-to-end encrypted. We love building dev tools and would love any kind of feedback on our latest project!

I quit my job in Bangalore a few months ago to start my own company with a friend. We are building open-source encryption and key management tools for app developers
We're open to contributions so feel free to create issues or raise a PR on our repo: https://github.com/phasehq/console

Show HN: Phase – open-source encryption and key management for developers
Hello HN!
We are developers and security researchers making tools for developers to encrypt data at an application level while maintaining sole control of their keys.
We believe that data should always be encrypted unless it is part of an active computation. Encryption is relatively easy, but key management is challenging. There are plenty of encryption tools and SDKs that are out there (Hashicorp Vault, AWS KMS etc.) but we are focusing on ease and speed of implementation, developer experience and self custody of keys.
A few months ago, we quit our jobs and started full time on Phase.
So far, we have created a dashboard to create, manage and deploy keys, a key management service (KMS) to serve encrypted shards of a private key to an app during each decrypt operation as well as SDKs for JS, Node and Python.
Give it a try (https://github.com/phasehq/console)! We’d love to hear what you think!
