LTO Tape data storage for Linux nerds
Is there a unix-style streaming tool, like tar/zstd/age, that does forward error correction? I'd love to stick some ECC in that pipeline, data>zstd>age>ecc>tape, cause I'm paranoid about bitrot. I search for such a thing every few months and haven't scratched the itch.
The closest is things like inFECtious, which is more of just a library.

Need macOS testers again!
Yeah I know, RS is very slow for some reason. I think I'm doing something wrong somewhere, but I'll need to look into it more. The RS library I use, github.com/vivint/infectious, is low-level and spiky in some areas, so I might be doing things inefficiently. I've already noted it and I hope to fix it in 1.15.

I believe i've completely fvcked up my installation of bitwarden
the last thing i would recommend for you is, if you have that CVS file.... it's probably plain text.... so you should encrypt it using a tool like https://github.com/HACKERALERT/Picocrypt and a pass phrase you can remember... write it down somewhere safe, even.... that way your password list is not wide open and readable *if* an intruder gains access to your system...

Encrypt text
Check out Picocrypt, it might be useful to you for this case

If you want more choice of encryption algorithms, try Picocrypt. Veracrypt also has more algorithms and has been audited.

Does xchacha not follow an open standard?
Hey so when looking at xchacha as it seems to be getting more and more popular in terms of adoption for securing files/messages etc. I noticed that when experimenting and testing file encryption with applications like dexios picocrypt and hat.sh that none of the files could be read/understood by other applications. While this doesn't happen with alot of other apps/algos likes aes afaik.
