HomeKit newbie brand new home build
Hey man glad to welcome you to the club, since Sonos only does do airplay 2 ( make sure to check the stuff the builder is installing works with airplay 2 and not 1) and not HomeKit integration, you would still need the Sonos app to control it. The workaround would be that as long as it’s airplay 2 compatible, you can use Sistine to play music to it and also other devices at the same time. If you want control via the Home app, you can always install Homebridge Homebridge on a Mac or raspberry Pi and then use the Sonos plugin such as this one calledSonos ZP. That should give you full control over the speakers via the home app as well. Only thing would be to make sure the Hombridge server is always running to ensure control from the home app remain active. Pm me if he happy to help!
