that's weird I just looked at the docs of the plugin that I'm using and there's a note for "Remember to extend the API trial period" but I opened the project in 2021 and I didn't touched it since, my tuya devices works to this day, but maybe try to follow the plugin's docs

I have a Tuya floor lamp. It worked okay for a while. I'm using the 0x5e/homebridge-tuya-platform plugin. Now, it's always showing up as offline. The status log shows this message whenever I hit the switch:

It looks like the milo526 plugin has been superseded by this one, but the author says the API trial period needs to be extended every 6 months. Who knows, they might force paid subscriptions at some point.

There is new plugin for that from another owner, but the same maintainer, that works. https://github.com/0x5e/homebridge-tuya-platform

Possible solution would be using https://github.com/milo526/homebridge-tuya-web

I never got the official Tuya plugin to work for my Smartlife stuff. I’ll admit I didn’t try that hard before I switched to Tuya Web.

Have you tried the other Tuya plug-in, Tuya Web? It’s a verified plugin and works for my Smart Life pet feeder.

Hey, I got many Tuya products (bulbs, outlers...) that I successfully paired on my Homebridge, and it's working really well. I used the TuyaWebPlatform plugin. (https://github.com/milo526/homebridge-tuya-web)

I found out that you could set up scenes using the smart life app which appear as accessories in homebridge using TuyaWebPlatform plugin the only problem is now i have 2 seperate buttons, one only turns on the ac, and the other one only turns it off.
