homebridge-tuya-lan VS homebridge-tuya-web

On my iPhone the smart life app from tuya does not seem to detect the bulb when it's blinking. But the wipro app does. Now according to these setup instructions I need the tuya app, so that I can intercept the key and ID.

After that one was sorted I found the homebridge-tuya-lan plugin and started messing with it untill I got the configurations right. For that you will have to read the how to very carefully as, for example, my hama RGBW light uses 1-1000 as a scale and not 1-255 and the parameter names were also not the same as the default tuya.

I'd MUCH prefer to get this Tuya app off my phone completely, and also NOT have their IoT service(s) communicating with my HomeBridge. Is it not possible to use this in a much less complicated way? I saw this tutorial from the AMoo-Miki/homebridge-tuya-lan plugin, but that all sounds even crazier. Installing trust certificates on my phone, etc...

I never got the official Tuya plugin to work for my Smartlife stuff. I’ll admit I didn’t try that hard before I switched to Tuya Web.

Have you tried the other Tuya plug-in, Tuya Web? It’s a verified plugin and works for my Smart Life pet feeder.

Hey, I got many Tuya products (bulbs, outlers...) that I successfully paired on my Homebridge, and it's working really well. I used the TuyaWebPlatform plugin. (https://github.com/milo526/homebridge-tuya-web)

I found out that you could set up scenes using the smart life app which appear as accessories in homebridge using TuyaWebPlatform plugin the only problem is now i have 2 seperate buttons, one only turns on the ac, and the other one only turns it off.
