Homekit automation for the Winix C545 purifier
Does that model of air filter have a remote control? I have a Winix C555 which does come with a remote. So I was able to get the homebridge broadlink rm plugin to learn the hex codes from the remote and then treat it like a fan. That doesn't totally solve the issue with turning it on when it gets power back, but maybe gets you part of the way there.

Anyone recommend some LED light strips that can be linked on HB (I live in Canada).
The ad is a bit misleading, they show multicolored addressable strips, but in reality they are single colour 5050 strips. You can use a magic home adaptor controller along with https://github.com/sahilchaddha/homebridge-magichome-platform#readme plugin.
