I’m getting this error when i’m trying to update the console to the latest firmware 5.5.6U, i already uninstalled Coldboot Haxchi, unplugged my external HDD and restarted the console, still nothing.

I get a -5 error every time I start my Wii U I use CBHC with Brain Age DS
-5 means that you’re missing the needed files in order to properly launch Haxchi. Make sure you have the homebrew launcher folder in /wiiu/apps/homebrew_launcher/homebrew_launcher.elf. And make sure that the folder has all the necessary files in it, like homebrewlauncher.elf. If you need to reinstall it, then go here and install the latest version (1.5 as of writing this)

How do you update to a newer version?
Download from https://github.com/dimok789/homebrew_launcher/releases and put it in the SD card.
- Hello, so I atempted to hack my console. When I turned it off and on again it started to do this in a loop, saying wii u menu and then the screen going black. Can someone explain to me what is happening and how to fix it?

Please don't listen to these guy's advice. If the SD card was the problem, then the error would be "SDMount failed". This error just means that you're missing, or the exploit can't find your payload.elf file that can be redownloaded here. Boom, problem solved.
