Native macOS fix for applications hiding under the MacBook Pro notch
> * I discovered a free, native macOS solution that doesn't require installing Bartender or any other additional apps.*
> You can adjust the values from 0 to 6 to accommodate even more icons. Personally, I found 6 to be a good fit.
It's ultimately a really petty point - but this is not a fix. This increases the number of apps on the top bar before the problem occurs. Bartender (and hidden[1] - which I discovered in this thread) fix the problem. Calling a technique that delays the problem "a solution" after sneering at a project that actually is a solution just rubs me the wrong way.

Windows like hide/unhide menu bar items in Mac?
There's Hidden Bar but I think it's a lot like Bartender. It has an arrow too if that's what you want.

App LIST!!!
Dozer (free - open source), HiddenBar (free), free alternatives to bartender, however, only does 1 thing and that's hiding the icons, not adding an extra menu, nothing just icons here, icons gone.
-
What happens when your menu bar has too many icons and it goes underneath the notch? Thoughts on notch and the need to use an app like Bartender for the new-gen MBPs?
For apps that you never interact with that way, and won't let you turn their icons off, get HiddenBar.

Samsung Monitor not working - looking for recommendations!
In the mean time however, I can recommend a free application that I found worked wonders for my display. While I tried BetterDisplay, and love everything the developer does, I found when changing resolution the process was a bit clunky. Instead I recommend RDM. It is as easy as installing the application, opening it, clicking the little icon in the menu bar, and selecting a resolution with a little lightning bolt next to it (HiDPi resolution) which should give you a crisp, well scaled, external monitor. Then every time you restart your max it should automatically open the application and apply these settings!

How to screen not move when mouse pointer reaches edge of the screen while zoomed in?
The software they discuss, RDM (https://github.com/avibrazil/RDM), allows you to force a specific resolution, and will likely send you down the right path. To use this, You will probably have to change the resolution before you launch your game, and then change it back afterwards, otherwise you’ll find yourself losing items behind the notch in the menu bar.

Is there a way to change your resolution from 16x10 to 16x9 (1920x1080) on MacOS Ventura? feels like ive tried literally everything, but nothing works .
