hello-express VS devdocs

Postmarks runs on Glitch - or, anywhere else you can stand up a Node.js / Express app. Personally I love Glitch, and I've been using it for many years now for hosting demos and trying out different projects - in fact, my main links page runs on Glitch. The Postmarks developer Casey Kolderup works there, and Casey has made it really straightforward to remix directly on Glitch, or import from GitHub there or to another service of your choice - it has very few dependencies.

So kind of like https://glitch.com/ and https://inbrowser.app/ but somehow productized, has a bitcoin donation button, and uses iframes(??). Feels pretty slow too, but that might just be the HN hug of death.

The Glitch team has been doing some gardening of our own over the past few weeks: the latest addition to our new homepage is our new weekly feature, “App of the Week.” As I type this, we’re featuring a classic: Dan Reeves’ Nasa logo generator. I'm making a custom heardle using the 'zayn-heardle' template on https://glitch.com. The search-bar for searching for songs is not working. It doesn't show any options to pick a song.

I've implemented the package https://pub.dev/packages/sign_in_with_apple successfully both for iOS and Android devices (my back-end is glitch.com, copied from the package's instructions).

Environmental lighting conditions rule the day! I have astigmatism and I prefer bright backgrounds; #000 text on #fff backgrounds works great for me, but that's because I work in a room lit by a 250W 30,000 lumen corn-cob LED bulb[0] that makes my small office as bright on the inside as the shaded ground from a tree on an overcast day (which is quite bright compared to usual indoor lighting). In a room that bright, high contrast text works great and is highly readable, with "dark mode" often looking washed out and muddy. Even small reductions in contrast (such as what https://devdocs.io does with text of #333 in light mode) can make me notice and wish for greater contrast.

Mutt for mail, for irc doesn't matter much, use a desktop one but setup a bouncher on a vps, I used to have one on a raspberry pi 1, you can use rss reader for reddit (not sure if still works) and blogs
