Misinformation about where Nano is being stored
Anyone who knows how to code can even create their own 'wallet' by importing their seed and useJS library such as https://github.com/marvinroger/nanocurrency-js or https://github.com/numsu/nanocurrency-web-js.

help me retrieve my nano from 2017 please!
What I meant was you should use a library for that. Doing the seed convertion locally. You should NEVER send the seed over the Internet, not even encrypted. This is for JS for example. https://github.com/marvinroger/nanocurrency-js
