The number of mentions indicates the total number of mentions that we've tracked plus the number of user suggested alternatives.
Stars - the number of stars that a project has on GitHub. Growth - month over month growth in stars.
Activity is a relative number indicating how actively a project is being developed. Recent commits have higher weight than older ones.
For example, an activity of 9.0 indicates that a project is amongst the top 10% of the most actively developed projects that we are tracking.

How to get started in the Helium Community?
I am completly new to the Blockchain and Helium world (and reddit as well), but the idea about a decentralized mobile network fascinates me and I would love to get into it. I did some reading in the Helium Documentation and HIP-51 and HIP-53, but still have many questions.

HIP 94: Response Time Windows for Witness Rewarding (kind of anti HIP 83)
Hey everybody, remember when people were pissed because of the HIP 83 that severely narrowed the chances of many hotspots to be chosen for witness rewards allocation? Behold! Here is the HIP 94 mainly developed by one nice guy from GitHub (disk91) in order to fix these ridiculous changes, which always benefit the same pool of hotspots and requires response rate that is completely unjustified for the LoRaWAN usecase and is more suitable for online FPS or Moba gaming. I am not affiliated with the proposal but have been following the discussion/criticism of the HIP 83 since June or so. Many thanks to disk91 for spending his time and presenting the proposal. Just wanted to notify you guys so you could stay aware and support the HIP when the time comes.

Helium anti-gaming measure
All remaining legitimate hotspots will earn more rewards, as a fixed amount of HNT is issued per epoch, so the same amount of HNT going to fewer (legit) hotspots means more HNT for those hotspots. And you can see all hotspots on the denylist by downloading the current list from https://github.com/helium/denylist/raw/main/denylist.csv and checking them in Explorer, via the API, etc. You'll see a 'denylist' badge for all hotspots on the denylist within 12 hours or so of addition.
