Create Door Sensor log via automation
another method you could try would be to build a json rest server on your network. you can then make a call to post a contact sensor state then make another shortcut that pulls the entire dictionary and splays it out for you! i personally do this and use this NPM project to do it.

My first JavaScript project became a lesson in deploying a REST API json-server (and how you can do it, too.)
I reached out to my instructor again for advice on how I might be able to make my web app, well, an actual web app. She returned with this amazing template which allows developers to deploy the fake REST API JSON-server (which I was already using locally) to Heroku.

How to deploy a react app on Heroku using JSON-server?
I am fairly new to React and JSON-server, and I am trying to deploy my app on Heroku. I can't seem to figure out how to deal with JSON-server stuff. I tried to use https://github.com/jesperorb/json-server-heroku but if I change the start script in the package.json to node server.js then the app simply gives a Heroku, as the react app is not able to start.
