Best way to use ST7789 in ESPIDF?
8 projects | /r/esp32 | 31 Mar 2023
ST7789 is a MIPI DCS chip so you can use HAGL with MIPI DCS HAL. There are a couple of examples and a video or two. Also sorry for blatant self promotion.

Looks great! Don't worry about hours used or how many people will use it. Think of it as a learning experience. I did something similar with the only goal being to learn the C language.
UPDATE: image.nvim - Color Support

There's also https://github.com/princejoogie/chafa.nvim, which wraps https://github.com/hpjansson/chafa Did you know about that? I wonder what the differences between your plugin and that one are?5 projects | /r/neovim | 28 Jan 2023
Very cool. Some terminals have their own protocol for rendering images (iTerm2, kitty). I think it would be cool if you have an option to either do the traditional ascii or the other rendering as well. chafa https://github.com/hpjansson/chafa renders images amazing in kitty. I’d love an option for that, plus gif support 🙂

I guess it is using https://github.com/hpjansson/chafa for that, and it needs to be using https://github.com/seebye/ueberzug/tree/2c55173878906c3b221cdef16cf083f0c412bb58
Does someone have an idea how one could create such an effect?

See also https://github.com/hpjansson/chafa which is an image -> ANSI art library written in C. I built it into my BBS so users can embed images in their posts. Some turn out better than others but it gives the board a unique feel at least.
