gshade_installer VS modorganizer2-linux-installer

That shouldn't be possible using Gshade. There's a convenient installer for it so everything works perfectly the first time.

You can also try GShade, it is mainly made for Final Fantasy XIV but I had less issues with it than with ReShade. There's also this nice CLI tool for installing it which makes it even less of a hassle.

By the way, ESO runs well enough that you can use/install GShade which enhances the visuals. Here is an example: - ESO Without GShade - ESO With GShade

Hello! I've successfully installed Sims 2 on Linux via Lutris and I'm trying to install GShade using this tutorial: https://github.com/HereInPlainSight/gshade_installer and it doesn't seem to be working in game. I have Sims 2 on Windows 10 as well and GShade works perfectly. Does anyone know what could be the issue?

Could always try gshade. Unfortunately it's a Windows only program so it won't help you with native applications. But there is a CLI tool to install it for Windows games on Linux. Normally, the appmanifest read-only works fine, but on Linux (or at least for me on PopOS 22.04) I had a problem with that method. Everytime I launched steam, it edited that file even in read-only mode. Also I use modorganizer2-linux-installer, which launches MO2 through default skyrim proton prefix.

I’m not running OBSE by itself. I’m running it alongside Mod Organizer 2. This script will setup MO2 for you and set it so that Steam launches it automatically when you press play. Then, you’ll need to follow this doc to install OBSE alongside MO2. Hopefully that would setup all of your pathing correctly.

Use this script. It should set everything up for you so that MO2 launches automatically when you start Oblivion through Steam.

Using this MO2 installer I've got pretty much everything working through Steam's Proton in Fedora for SSE 1.6.640.
