thanks, this woke some memory of my learning project regarding defaulting gRPC messages via extension header: https://github.com/MikkelHJuul/grpcConst. it could mayne be adapted to this usecase with server-server transport reduced network/bandwidth-wise. although I'm sure the quirkiness of 0 vs unset will be a problem

What about monitoring? I've had good experience with the gRPC Prometheus middleware. Is there anything similar for Connect yet?
