graphql-request VS create-react-app

but i don't want to use that external library

If you don't want to use Apollo, I suggest using codegen + graphql-request. There is a codegen plugin for graphql-request that auto generates a typesafe client sdk with all your queries as methods on the graphql-request client. I recommend finding some friend with modern experience or at least some youtube tutorials or at least some learning course. That would help you to catch up on the best way to bootstrap your first project. Then you can practice.
